One Car, One Community - Meet The Blue Ridge Broncos

If you've ever been to a Bronco meetup or trail ride, you already know: it's not just about the rigs. It's about the laughs, the trail dust, the silly radio comms, and the shared obsession with a vehicle that somehow makes complete strangers feel like old friends. Read on to learn about one of the premier Bronco organizations in the southeast and how they inspire genuine connection throughout the Bronco community.

Blue Ridge Broncos was founded in 2023 by four guys who had never met before, but shared one common trait: they were among the first Bronco owners in western North Carolina. Later known as "The Four Horsemen" (cheesy, we know), they connected by happenstance during their travels and tossed around the idea of starting a Bronco club. It would be a great excuse to hit some trails, drink beer, and gawk at each other's builds. They never imagined their spontaneous decision to start Blue Ridge Broncos would explode to over 120 members across ten states. Charley is member #5 and was the first to join after the club's founding. Kris jumped in a little later as member #59 and currently serves on the club's advisory board.

Events range from casual wing nights to big multi-day trail runs, where both new Bronco owners and the most experienced trail junkies tackle the same obstacles with as much support as one might need. Whether you roll up in a bone-stock Base or a tricked-out Sas Badlands, everyone's welcome. We even have a few Sport owners that join us on the trails. "Blue Ridge" is intentionally vague - we don't want the area you live in to determine whether or not you hit the trails with us (our current members are from NC, SC, TN, GA, VA, KY, OH, MI, AL, and TX). The only requirement is a love for adventure and maybe a little bit of tolerance for mud and pinstripes. It's one of those communities where someone's always got a tool you need, extra snacks to share, a radio to loan, or a story to tell. Whether we're sending it through a mud puddle (and hopefully not flooding the alternator; true story...) or sharing breakfast back at camp, enjoying the time spent with wonderful people is what's most important.

Blue Ridge Broncos isn't just a club; it's a family comprised of folks from all walks of life who happen to own the same model of vehicle. It's where Charley and I met - just two Bronco nerds comparing builds over a few beers while Charley manned the Buck Rails booth. One thing led to another, and before long, the Bronco community had done so much more than just introduce us to new trails.

But what really makes the community special goes way beyond the trail. At The Feud All Terrain Rally in 2025, Blue Ridge Broncos joined forces with other organizations to raise an incredible $6,000 and a trailer full of goods for the Sprigg Freewill Baptist Church Youth Food Ministry in Matewan, West Virginia. This organization provides children in need with hot meals at least twice weekly. The funds raised will cover Thanksgiving meals for 14 local families. The donations were presented to the food bank during the event - a true reminder that the power of the Bronco community lies in our ability to connect with others.

The same spirit of connection and adventure is what led to the creation of Buck Rails. We started designing and creating Bronco accessories to make our own rigs more functional and fun, but wanted to share that same spirit with others. From our BYOD Dash Rails to our MOLLE bags, every product in our shop is built to best serve the same community that brought us together. We're proud to be members of Blue Ridge Broncos and to give a little back whenever we can. So here's to the Blue Ridge Bronco family; the folks who turn strangers into friends, meetups into memories, and two Bronco nerds into lifelong partners.
