How to Install a MagSafe Adapter

MagSafe Wireless charger in Bronco

Thanks for purchasing our MagSafe adapter!  You'll obviously need an Apple MagSafe charger puck, they're available at any cell phone store, Walmart/Target, or Amazon.  They will work great for iPhone 12 and newer.  With iPhones 8-11 and some Androids, those do have wireless charging, but will need a metal ring.

Start off by taking the included Rubber gasket and stretching it around the Apple MagSafe puck.  It should be a little smaller so it'll stretch onto it and get a good grip.

Now align up the charge wire, and give it a push it into the adapter.  The Flat surface should sit just a hair above the black Aluminum adapter.

The back of the Aluminum adapter has 1/4-20 threaded hole in the center, and can be secured to any of our extension arms.

 Optional:

If you have an older iPhone, Android, or just a non-MagSafe compatible case, you may need a metal ring added for the magnets to hold.  We offer this as an option, but you can also acquire them elsewhere, I just recommend the rings with the gap (see below), as the full circle rings more commonly available can induce magnetic hysteresis while charging and get a little warm.

MagSafe magnetic ring option
To install the ring, you need to identify where the MagSafe needs to go, since the magnetic induction will be centered at a specific point.  The best thing is just plug in the MagSafe and hold it against the back of your phone until it charges well, then mark it with tape, pencil, etc.

Our "ring kit" includes a clear piece of tape, which helps the ring adhere to the case.  I hope this picture is helpful, it's rather hard to photograph a clear jigamaroo...

Now go enjoy!  As a fair warning, your phone may pop off during off-road or some serious mall crawling, so just be forewarned...it's generally recommended for daily use on normal street driving, but your mileage may vary.
