I’ve spent a fair amount of time using a GoPro in my Bronco, so I wanted to share some of my favorite setups based on what you’re trying to capture. Whether you’re after a clear shot of the road ahead, those side angles, or just want full versatility, I’ve got you covered.

1. The Road Ahead
If you're looking to capture the adventure ahead of you, I’m a big fan of using the Quick Connect Rail Clip paired with the GoPro Buckle Mount. While I’m not the biggest fan of GoPro’s standard attachment (which is exactly why we sell this Upgraded GoPro Bolt), this setup is quick, stable, and super easy to use.
You can mount your GoPro facing the road ahead for some epic trail shots, or flip it around to get a clear view of the interior. The GoPro’s wide-angle lens ensures you capture the full trail, with plenty of room for the surroundings. If you point it inside the Bronco, you’ll get a great shot of everyone in the front seats — no one gets left out of the shot (except maybe the person hanging out the window 😉).

2. Side Angles
For some cool side shots, you can slide the GoPro Buckle Mount onto the outer edges of our Slingshot Rail. And if you pair it with the Quick Connect Rail Mount, you’ll have the freedom to slide it anywhere along our Slingshot Rail or the Full Shebang Rail. The photo above shows exactly what I mean — you can really customize where you want to place your GoPro and capture those sweet side views.

3. All the Angles in One Setup
If you're looking for ultimate versatility, you’ll want to look into adding a gimbal mechanism to your setup. Pairing an arm (standard or extended) with either the GoPro Finger Mount or Quick Connect Rail Clip will give you the flexibility to capture any angle you can think of, while keeping things steady and smooth. It’s the all-in-one solution for getting those dynamic shots — from inside, outside, or anywhere in between.
You can also use this gimbal attachment with a GoPro Finger Mount or Quick Connect Rail Clip. While this gimbal setup can spin 360º around, it has limited mobility when compared to the arm setup as described above.
In short, whether you’re capturing the road ahead, those side views, or every angle in between, these setups will keep your GoPro secure and ready to roll. And I’ll cover the attachment issue and its fix in a later post, so stay tuned for that. Happy filming!
